Omics Phenotypes Related to Down Syndrome for the INCLUDE Project (X01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications to use the NIH INCLUDE Project (Investigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE) resources to generate a large volume of integrated genomic and multi-omics data to facilitate discovery of molecular mechanisms underlying health conditions related to Down syndrome. Applicants may propose omics assays of existing biospecimens from individuals with Down syndrome and controls, utilizing techniques such as whole genome sequencing (short-read and long-read), exome, epigenome, transcriptome sequencing, proteomics, metabolomics, single-cell RNA sequencing, and ATAC sequencing when justified. All generated omics and phenotypic data will be deposited in a public INCLUDE Project controlled-access database for research community sharing. No direct funding is provided to applicants under this NOFO, but successful applicants gain access to NIH resources for data generation. Clinical trials are not permitted.
