LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC) Broad Agency Announcement

The LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC), led by the U.S. Army Research Office (ARO) in partnership with NSA’s Laboratory for Physical Science (LPS), is seeking proposals under its Broad Agency Announcement. The mission of LQC is to pursue disruptive research and technologies focused on qubit development for quantum computing and sensing, foster deep collaborations addressing long-term challenges in quantum information science and technology, and develop the quantum workforce through research experiences at LPS and partner institutions. Proposals are solicited in three categories: Incubator (smaller, proof-of-concept or concept development initiatives for individuals or small teams), Collaboratory (significant collaborations among academia, industry, and government labs to tackle fundamental problems in qubit development over 1-3 years), and Quantum Computing Research (QuaCR) Fellowships (supporting U.S. citizen graduate and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information processing and related areas). The opportunity provides a mechanism for collaborative research and aims to advance foundational and transformative research in quantum technologies that address key scientific and technical hurdles.
